Direct Entry MSN Requirements

Marquette University’s Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is not for everyone. Designed for students who already have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, Marquette’s second-degree MSN program requires applicants to:

  • Hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Complete all required prerequisite courses with a grade of “C” or higher, if you have not already.

The GRE is not required to apply to the program. However, if you feel that your GRE scores would strengthen your application, you can submit them and we will include that information in the application review.

In addition to meeting Marquette University’s high academic standards, Direct Entry MSN students need to live within driving distance of our state-of-the-art learning center in Pleasant Prairie or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
