Our Direct Entry MSN program follows a rigorous blend of nursing theory courses, hands-on labs and in-person clinical rotations — all completed in tandem. It’s a learning sequence that prepares you to sit for the NCLEX-RN® with confidence and enter the profession as a practice-ready nurse.
Graduates can become clinical nurse educators, unit supervisors, care coordinators, nurse navigators, clinical instructors and more.

Marquette University’s Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program is not for everyone. Designed for students who already have a non-nursing bachelor’s degree, Marquette’s second-degree MSN program requires applicants to:
The GRE is not required to apply to the program. However, if you feel that your GRE scores would strengthen your application, you can submit them and we will include that information in the application review.
In addition to meeting Marquette University’s high academic standards, Direct Entry MSN students need to live within driving distance of our state-of-the-art learning center in Pleasant Prairie or Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
